Presumably the final of the inter-house tug-of-war. (The observer left-of-centre looks like Ken Churchward. Has John Goldston pulled away from the near-side of the team on the right? Doc Noble is in the jacket just above and to the right of John. Neil Wilkinson is the spectator on the extreme right. The two blondes second from each end could be the Piaggio brothers. And no. 5 of the left-hand team, in glasses, could be Howard Bamsey. So I'll back Loney about to defeat Courtice, or maybe Hinkler. Loney won everything that year, didn't it? - Ed.)
