I spent my working life in the sugar industry at the Bundaberg Mills & retiring on the 31st July 2005. I started my apprenticeship as a fitter & turner in 1967 & progressed through different positions in the mills, with my final position being a supervisory maintenance engineer for all maintenance at the Bundaberg Mills which currently operate as Bundaberg Sugar Co. Bundaberg Sugar Co is now owned privately by two Belgium Brothers operating their own company throughout the world. 

On retiring we moved to the Sunshine Coast & live at Tinbeerwah, halfway between Cooroy & Noosa.

We have two Children our son Craig, married with two lovely children, living in Maryborough, & our daughter Melissa who is intellectually handicapped & is living with us.
