This presentation suggests ways in which senior executives and their organisations can approach leadership amidst the turbulence of the information economy.
It commences by reviewing some key features of the technologies, and lessons from the history of the Internet so far. Leadership in marketspaces is discussed, drawing attention to first-mover and other-mover advantage, and the need for care with business models. A mini-case study of the university sector is used to provide a focal point for the key messages.
Leadership within the organisation is then addressed. Particular attention is paid to innovation, organisational change, and means of harnessing Internet technology and cyberculture to the organisation's internal processes.
The presentation comprises a set of PowerPoint slides.
