Linda and Roger's Bunhybee Grasslands
How To Get There
This is a page within Roger and Linda's
Bunhybee Grasslands Web-Site.
Bunhybee Grasslands is a 49 hectare / 120 acre conservation
property 35km south of Braidwood, in southern N.S.W.
You can follow through the internal links, or you may find it
easier to use the Site-Map.
Directions to Bunhybee
The property is 35km south of Braidwood. These directions assume you can get
yourself to that metropolis (probably pausing there for a coffee):
- Leave Braidwood sort-of southwards on the road to Araluen / Cooma / Captain's
Flat
- Follow the road 0.5km past the edge of town, then turn right towards
Captain's Flat
- After 25km, ignore the right turn to Captain's Flat, and keep
going straight ahead, up the Shoalhaven valley towards Cooma. The road
is variously called Cooma Rd and Krawaree Rd
- 30km from Braidwood, just after crossing Jerrabatgulla Ck, turn right
onto a gravel road called Jerrabatgulla Rd
- The gate onto Bunhybee is almost exactly 4km down this road. There is a
large sign on the gate (but if the gate's open you might miss it)
- If you
reach the T-intersection with Hart's Rd, you've gone 1km too far
- Even if the gate's open, DO NOT DRIVE IN! Please
protect the grasslands from the seeds your vehicle inevitably carries, by
parking on the (very quiet) unsealed road
The
nearest named location on Google Maps is Jerrabattgulla, which is 3km
further south.
On that map, the
entrance is about where the 'g' of Jerrabatgulla Rd is.
Here are Google
Map's directions from Braidwood to Jerrabbattgulla, but don't forget
that that's 3km beyond the entrance to Bunybee.
