I completed senior and commenced work as secretary in the office of Bundy High.

Married Elton Jones (yes, he's musical!) in December 1970, at which time I was required to resign from the job as married women could not work in the public service at that time.

My husband was in civil aviation at Brisbane airport (now at Telstar) and we lived at Sunnybank.

We had four children - 1 girl and 3 boys, and now have 3 grandchildren.

I worked for many years as a volunteer in the children's schools and finally took a paying job for 7 years operating the canteen, uniform and stationery shop at MacGregor Primary School. From there, I joined tax and have just completed 6 years with the office.

Life continues to get more interesting!
