FRI 9 SEP

SOME DAYTIME OPTIONS

• Bargara Golf Club
  Organisers: Graham Duldig and Neil Robinson
  Visitors could play 9 or 18 holes on Friday afternoon or
  take part in the club’s Chicken Run over 9 holes for $11 on the Friday afternoon
  Other Options? –
• a pre-booked tour or two?
• other things we can point to? (See list on Saturday)

EVENING – Informal Arrival Event
INITIAL THINKING: An informal dinner, with just a room booked, and access to a bistro & bar
DO WE NEED TO REQUIRE PRE-BOOKING (OR EVEN PRE-PAYMENT?)

Old Bundy Tavern
Graham: The Customs Bar (facing Tantitha Street) cannot be set aside for a group. But Sophies Bar (off Quay Street) can be put aside for a group for a "meet and greet" type function. This bar will accommodate up to c. 50 people (with seating for c. 30). Some trays of nibbles could be provided at a cost as well.

The Young Australian Hotel – over north [But do we qualify? (:-)} ]
Ann Cheffins: It has a very nice private room that can be hired - has a bar.
They will provide a worker for the bar as part of the hire charge.
Chef is very good. Can get more details if the committee is interested.
Roger: Could do a PRE-BOOKING, MAX. 60 DINNER? Has a good $45 pre-ordered menu.

Bargara Golf Club
Graham: Friday Night is usually the club’s busiest night but they could probably accommodate 30 - 40 people for a "meet and greet” in the bistro. If we end up with too many people for the golf club, we could change the venue to the Bargara Hotel.

A MANNED LOCATION FOR SATURDAY ARRIVALS
But where? BHS?
Civic Centre/Park? Bargara Golf Club? Cafe 1928 at Bot. Gardens, North Bundy?

SOME DAYTIME OPTIONS

• Tour of Bundy High
  Organiser: Neil Robinson: "No problems on the Saturday afternoon"
• Golf's out – A round is difficult because it's comp day

Should we have any pre-booked visits on offer? e.g.

• Hinkler Aviation?

Other things we can simply point people towards? e.g

• 1770 (2 hrs each way)
• Distillery
• Childers (various)

EVENING – The Main Event
BOOKED AND TO BE PRE-PAID

Bargara Golf Club
The function room accommodates 120 people at a formal sit down meal.
Charge Back -- The club has a charge back arrangement with a number of the adjacent accommodation complexes.
Drinks Prices — Normal bar prices apply to functions

Need to book or at least pre-arrange
