The AEShareNet Licensing System will be suspended effective from 16 September 2011. The AEShareNet Licensing System will close when TVET Australia is formally wound up later this year.

In March of this year, the Ministerial Council for Tertiary Education and Employment (MCTEE) decidede to wind up the ministerial company model for TVET Australia and to transition to alternative arrangements.

From 16 September 2011, in accordance with the decision to suspend all operations of AEShareNet , no new licences or material registrations will be accepted on the AEShareNet website.

Users of AEShareNet will need to make alternative arrangements for the ongoing management and licensing of intellectual property that is currently managed through the AEShareNet. Users are encouraged to explore the available options like Creative Commons as soon as possible.

We anticipate that:

If you choose to download copies of your licences from AEShareNet for your own records, please contact us and we will assist you with this process. Existing licences will still be valid notwithstanding the suspension of service. This applies to Commonwealth owned materials as well as those from other sources.
